Default Mon. Inscriptions, St Alphege's, Greenwich

    Hello folks,

I have found a record of a burial for a Mary Buckley in the registers of St Alphege's, Greenwich. This occurred in 1855 and she was aged 75. There is also a death in the Greenwich Workhouse in 1855 which might be the same woman. While one wouldn't expect a monument for a workhouse death, it is possible she was there only a short time because of frailty and not poverty. Someone might have stumped up for a memorial.

Does anyone know of the whereabouts of any monumental Inscriptions for St Alphege's Parish Church, Greenwich? I have been looking hard but cannot find anything by an internet search.

I would be grateful for any help.

    Best wishes,

    Lenore

If anyone would know, it would be the local FHS... I don't keep bookmarks on my phone, but GENUKI on GENUKI.org.uk - has lists of FHS contact info.
