Ancestry.Com has the Australia Death Index Record for Bathsheba Goldstein 1896 Sydney NSW Parents-George and Sarah. What is a puzzle is that her parents if they are George Gordon/Sarah Asher appear not to be Jewish but Bathsheba is buried in Rookwood Old Jewish Cemetery age 65 Section B Row 13 wife of Albert. The current Rookwood Jewish Cemetery site does not appear to have this record so I will need to look further.
The Sydney Morning Herald NSW Weds 17 June 1896 has- June 16 at her residence 200 George Street North, Bathsheba aged 63 years the dearly beloved wife of Albert Goldstein.

You will need to consider carefully the following records in connection with George Gordon and Sarah Asher because I can't as yet see any link to Lord George Gordon.
First of all, there are the London Marriage Banns for George Gordon and Sarah HASHER Church of England Marriages and Banns Tower Hamlets Wapping St John of Wapping- George Gordon bachelor of this parish; Sarah HASHER spinster of this parish. George signs with his signature and Sarah makes her x mark-13 Sept 1826
I suspect that they are the parents of Bathsheba but don't know why Sarah's surname is Hasher and not Asher.
In the 1841 Census a family are recorded with a Bathsheba:

This appears to be the marriage of Stella Gordon to Barras Marks in Australia- Mount Alexander Mail Wed 6 June 1860
On the 24 inst at the Mickva Yisrael, by the Rev Moses Rital, senior Jewish Minister, Mr Barras Marks of Castlemaine, to Miss Sarah Gordon daughter of Mr George Gordon Esq of London.
Here is the newspaper article recording the suicide of Barras- Goulbourn Evening Penny Post Tues 30 April 1895
"An old man named Barras Marks aged 72 father of a wine shop keeper in Bourke Street hanged himself during the night...The deceased was the father of Stella Marks, who was murdered several years ago by her jealous lover".

The Murder of Stella Marks-Gippsland Times Wed 25 Feb 1891
..." John Wilson charged with the murder of Stella Marks in the Darling Gardens,Clifton Hill on 25 January by cutting her throat with a razor. The defence insanity".

John Wilson a tram conductor was due to marry Stella but accused her of having a relationship with another man. He was sentenced to death age 23 and hanged. Stella was age 24 and was employed as a domestic servant.

The Old Bailey online trials show that Edward Gordon Herbert age 14 was tried Dec 1858 for theft and sentenced to 4 years penal servitude - The National Archives PCOM 3/103/10699 show that Edward was released from Parkhurst Prison 28 Feb 1862.
Edward went to Australia where he was a plumber, glazier and painter.
The South Australia Police Gazette Feb 15 1882 record that Edward went missing from Melbourne 10 Nov 1882 - there was a description of him and recorded he was English and a painter age 40- he left his wife in Victoria.
Post 1882 there is no record of what happened to him.
A family tree records that Miriam re-married to Joseph Henry Purser 27 Jan 1894 but I have yet to identify a record of this marriage.

There are 2 Public family trees on Ancestry.Com which have Esther Gordon as the daughter of George and Sarah and records for her marriage and death. These records are from the Australia Death and marriage index. The first records a marriage between Esther Gordon and Soloman AARON Victoria 1855. There is a Victoria Assisted and unassisted passenger record for a Solomon Aaron Merchant English age 25 Arrival date 15 Sept 1852 Port Phillip Bay Departed London

There is a newspaper record for the death of a Solomon Aaron in 1885- The Argus Melbourne Wed 14 Oct 1885- On the 13 inst.at Castlemaine Hospital after a long and painful suffering of paralysis, Solomon Aaron the beloved husband of Esther Aaron, in his 58th year.

The next records require careful research because the surname changes from AARON to AARONS. The family trees have not identified this change and it maybe that this Esther is or is not the correct person. The NSW Register of Coroner's Inquests have Esther AARON May 5 1919 but the Rookwood Jewish Cemetery Tombstone for this Esther has:
ESTHER AARONS age 85 b abt 1834 Death 3 May 1919 burial 5 May 1919 ESTHER bat GERSHON Section 3 Row 27 Plot 449 and relict of the late SOLOMON AARONS of Victoria.

It looks to me as if no immediate relative was available to correct or confirm the Aaron vs Aarons surname.

What interests me from looking at all the data on the Gordon/Asher lines is the burial of some of their children in Jewish Cemeteries. The question I ask is were the children Jewish from their mother Sarah Asher or did they convert prior to marriage.
