Default cywan family name passenger list to UK

My grand father was Yaakov ben Yoseph who came from Poland. I don't have the year! His surname was Cywan or Zivan.
I am most grateful if you can add to my knowledge!

It would be helpful if you could add to our knowledge of him by telling us other things you know about him, such as when he was born.

Did he marry in the UK? When? Who? Where? And regardless of where (UK or US) he married, do you have his marriage certificate, and what other details does it give in relation to Yaakov?

Where did he die? What name is he buried by?

    Household Members

It seems he died in an old age home as the household members were listed and there were many names.
He didn't marry my grand mother as we have no records at all from any synagogue.
He was buried next to my grand mother Freida Syvan who died a year before him in 1951
I have a picture of their graves.Graves names Syvan
I also have a picture of him with my aunty Debbie as a young woman.
I dont know how we know he was born in 1863 or 1868
I dont think he naturalized?? maybe he did.. He was a furrier and a beadle in a synagogue but it no longer exists. The Alie street synagogue. There are no records either there.
So... thats a lot of unknowns. There is family here in US that I apparently have a 4th cousin DNA match! I'm following up on that
    Thank you so much

    Hi

    His death registration on FreeBMD
Jacob Zivan death registered Dec 1/4 1952 registration district Wandsworth vol 5d page 950
Age at death 86 If this age is correct then born c1866.

Default not sure of his birth date?

this is because we don't know where he was born? or when he arrived in UK .. So he must've told them his date on getting some record somewhere. I don't think he Naturalized?
All these are huge questions... WISH there was a way to answer them
Syvan or Cywan and Zivan seemed to be used. I think Cywan was the real surname as I said, 'coz there are DNA matches from various other USA Cywans..
    Thanks again for helping

    Hi Jaqui
I have done search after search, using variations of the surname. trying to find anything other than the deaths of Jacob and Freda and have come up zilch. Cyndi's List Polish record links seem to have more information on the migration/passenger lists to USA and the JewishGen site only has their burials.
You may like to spend some time looking at some of the sites linked by Cyndi's List. You never know.

I'm pleased I wasn't the only one coming up with nothing searching on the surnames, because I was beginning to think I was useless.

I think the only record I found was for a Freda Sivan, born 1880. in the 1939 Register. Indexed as being born in 1880, the actual image says 1876, so I've advised FMP of the error. But that birth year doesn't 'fit' with the Freda Syvan who died in 1951, aged 69.
There does seem to be an alternative spelling of the surname written above it on the image.

I don't know if any hints could be found (where to look, etc) by looking at TNA Research guides for naturalisation.
