    Cool Rosia Lillian Brown

Hello there I would love to get some help with Rosia Lillian Brown, born in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent in 1913. there was a twin sister too, Emma Lucy. their mother was Rose Barnes. I wonder if it is possible to find out about all Rosia's siblings, I would like to find living relatives if possible for my husband. I will be grateful for any help thanks.

I did a quick search looking for a marriage between a Rose Barnes and a Mr Brown and there was a marriage in 1905 in Hoo between Rosia Jane Barnes and William James Brown. [July quarter Vol 2A Page 1387].

Ernest William Thomas Brown born in Hoo in March Quarter 1906 – died 1997 Chatham, Kent. I think that he married 3 times: 1928, 1936, and 1968.
Frederick John Brown born in Hoo in March Quarter 1911. This combination of names is more popular so its no easy to pin down.

1911 Census: 3 Jubilee Cot Hoo, Hoo, Kent, England
William and Rosia are both aged 29. He’s from Hoo and she’s from Maidstone. He works in the Govt Dockyards, presumably at Chatham, as is described as a 1st class “excarator”.

    Hi
There are a few public trees on ancestry which have Rosia Jane Barnes in them. The one I am looking at is the Adam Pearson family tree which has Rosia and spouse and their children listed with the children's birth and death dates and in some cases, spouses. he was online just today. ancestry.com does have a free library version of their program but whether it allows you to access public tree information I can't recall. I will try to find out.

Also I have separated the posts requesting and replying to help from the original Introduce Yourself post and moved them to the Kent forum. The title Rosia Lillian Brown

Hi Shona, I see you are a new member to the forums, so welcome in, we are always happy for new members to join our community

If you'd like help with living relatives please don't post their names on the forums, we have a policy of respect for anyone who may be living and therefore never post their names or any details about them. This policy is not totally prohibitive, you can exchange information via PM (private message). That's the boring stuff explained, now let's try and help with your query

I see Megan has already given you some useful information. Are you only interested in moving the ancestral line forward, or would you like to research ancestors too?

I am definitely interested in both. There is hardly any info with relatives in Australia and it would be great to find out something for hubby. and the ancestors would be quite interesting and probably has a lot of ancestors that I would love to uncover.

From 1911, birth records included the mother's maiden name, you could try searching for 'living' family by working the births deaths & marriages forward instead of the usual back!
