St Margaret Uxbridge, 11th Dec 1795.
Mary Ann dau of George and Mary Alphey, ????????? Major of Cinque Port, Fencibles.

FMP have some army service records which could be 'your' George's.

There's information on FMP which I cannot post owing to FMP's T&C's.

I can tell you George was born Hanover about 1749.

In case you do not have it, Ancestry's London Parish Registers have the baptism at St Mary Lewisham on 1 December 1793 of Anne Phebe daughter of George & Mary ALPHEY, Botany Bay. George ALPHEY's marriage to Mary SHEPHERD took place on 9 November 1791 at St George the Martyr, Southwark (source Ancestry's London parish registers).

There is also another marriage at St Saviour, Southwark on 27 June 1785 of a Henry HICKMAN, bachelor, & a Susannah ALPHEY, widow. One of the witnesses was a Geo ALPHY, so could this be your George ALPHEY and was Susannah related to him in some way?

Am I expecting too much to ask someone if they can find any children to either marriage (apart from Joseph in 1792) please? A little hard sometimes researching from Australia.
