Hello all,
I'm doing some research not on family history, but the history of the blanket-making process in Whitney's company. I can see from [ this thread ] that the [ Oxfordshire History Centre ] has a catalogue number for some records that I'm pursuing.
Any assitance in understanding the contents of records:
B1/1 Records of the Blanket Weavers' Company of Witney
...specifically any mention of the measurements of different point sizes, and if they refer to change in dimension pre- and post-fullering would be of tremendous help to me.
I'm also curious to know what else the records contain in relation to the 18th century operations, but the above information would be a boon.
Thank you,
Joseph

I think that this will get more attention in the Oxford forum. Brickwalls is for family searches that are resisting all efforts to move them on.
Have you contacted the Centre?

Thank you moving the thread Lesley,
I am sending a query now, and thought I would ask the forum here since I know some contributors work at the museum.
