I am looking for a parish record for the christening of Edward Barrans son of John born Sept 1852.
Thanks

Don't forget that not everybody was baptised.

I had a quick look here - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/...819&cc=1309819 - starting at image 511 - but couldn't see your man.
If you have the dates for any later siblings try looking there too as sometimes children were baptised later in a 'job lot'
Cheers, MTS

Don't forget to check non-conformist registers as well.

You may have difficulty finding the baptism on line as Edward states on hos attestation papers he is a Roman Catholic which falls into non conformist. these records are slowly coming on line.
In the meantime try genuki.org.uk or Northumberland Archives see the info on this link https://familysearch.org/wiki/en/New...land_Genealogy
