Hi can anyone tell me what the enlistment age range was for soldiers and officers during the Crimean war?

My relative was 18 when he enlisted in 1853. His father co-signed the enlistment papers, though.

You could get 12 year old boy drummers. However I think they didn't attest until they reached age 18.

My relative was 16 when he enlisted in the Royal Artillery a bit beforehand, but his father co-signed his enlistment papers.

Sorry, made a typo. He was 16, not 18.
