    Default skeletal remains

Can any one tell me how accurately a persons height can be determined from a complete skeleton? I am guessing fairly accurately! but is it 100% accurate?
    Thanks Graham.

I don't think anything can be 100% accurate, but from reading various sources over the years, not I hasten to add personal experience, I think it is accepted that accuracy is usually within an inch or two, or if you must, 2-5 cm.
The usual description is a specific height ± a tolerance, usually 1in.

This forensic_anthropology/skeletal_analysis_worksheet may prove of interest.

One must remember that modern heights are greater than those of our ancestors. so any calculation must be modified to take this into account.
