Civil registration commenced on 1st July 1837. Due to growth and movement of the population the civil registration districts have changed over the years
The Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies - has lists of the Anglican and Non-Conformist burial registers deposited in their care.
Find a Library - some of which have microfilm of parish registers for their area
The National Burial Index 3 (NBI) CD covers 176 parishes in Buckinghamshire. Findmypast also has some of these indexes but not all.
Buckinghamshire Family History Society. Bucks FHS are transcribing and publishing all existing parish registers (baptisms. marriages and burials) for the parishes within the pre-1974 county of Buckinghamshire.
Where some early registers haven't survived Bishops' Transcripts have been used to fill the gaps.
