    Post Trying to find relative.

    I have been trying unsuccessfully to find any mention of Stanley Albert Brownsell in
    any military Records. I am told he served in the 'Clean Up' at the end of WW2, possibly
    on the Austrian Border, maybe serving with either the Middlesex Regiment or Somerset
    Regiment.
    Is anyone able to help, any information would be fantastic, thank you.

    I think that THIS is the thread Neil is referring to.

    Searcher, the MOD has not yet released WW2 records for general use. However, family members can obtain copies (for a price) - it's explained in that message.
