    Default Free access to American Civil War records

    Fold3, which specialises in American military records - and seems to have a connection with Ancestry - is offering free access to American Civil War records until 30 April 2015. Read about it in this blog post: https://blog.fold3.com/free-access-to...ar-collection/.

    Out of interest, I entered EZARD in the search box and, to my complete and utter amazement, got 53 hits. Ezards were in the Civil War, on both sides, and many of them came from Oregon - well, that really is a late-night eye-opener! Lots more to research! Tomorrow I will register and view the full documents.

    Off to roost, later than anticipated because of the American Civil War...
