Question Train robbery mid 1960s (not the Great one!)

It is rumoured in the family that an ancestor (now deceased so unable to be asked) was on board a train that was robbed of a quantity of cases of whiskey. I have been told it was on a London-Scotland run in the mid-1960s, although not sure exactly where or in which direction.

I have tried to search on-line but there is no information that I can find other than the Great Train Robbery of 1963, and the British Newspaper Archives haven't reached that timeline yet.

Can anyone help direct my search, or even with knowledge of the incident?

If it was from Scotland, it's more likely to have been whisky than whiskey.

Putting Train Robbery Whisky Scotland into Google seems to produce a number of results about a robbery or robberies in the 1960s. Note that Peter is right about it being Whisky not Whiskey
