I was wondering if there are any free websites offering an online view of the maps that correspond with the Griffiths Valuation Records.

There are maps on the Griffiths site, which in most cases show the location of each property listed in the primary valuation. (There are one or two townlands where no numbers are shown on the on-line maps. For those cases you need to view Griffiths maps in PRONI or in the Downpatrick library’s local studies section).

There’s a slider bar in the top rh corner of the map screen that allows you to switch between the contemporaneous map and a modern one.
For Co Down the records that take the primary valuation forward - known as the revaluation records – are also on-line. They run up to 1929, and you can follow through to see when tenants died or changed, properties were demolished etc. etc. See:
