I can't find any trace of the birth of my grandmother Emma Amelia SHAW ( born JACK).
I believe she was born in 1882 in the Cape province but with no further detail?
Her father Robert JACK ( born in 1832 in Montrose, Forfarshire, Scotland) was a farmer who lived in Plettenburg Bay where he had five kids between 1862 to 1871.
I lost his trace after that date?
His wife was Emma EDGEWORTH without any further detail.
Any information about the JACK family would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the sources mentioned in the "sticky" at the top of this thread?
I don't know if the LDS have anything for the Cape on Familysearch.
ETA: Do you have a marriage certificate for Emma? Did she marry in the Cape/South Africa?

Yes, I tried LDS ( that's where I found Robert JACK's first kids ) and also tried the St George Parish in the Cape mentionned in the sticky to no avail.
I don't have the marriage certificate but she lived in Johannesburg when my mother was born.
I'd like to get her Death Notice but it's not mentionned on the National Archives site?
Is it because she died in 1960 in Kierksdorp Transvaal?
