Hmmm.... My attempt.
Para = Paragraph 204
(6a) = ?
TBR = To be resolved?
GD = General Dynamics - This appears to be an ink stamp mark above the other written acronyms so is likely to be used regularly on records, hence the stamp instead of having to write it each time.
Now we need someone to tell us what para 204 (6a) refers to.
Do you have this man's service records?

Added: just taken a closer look at the TBR- is it TBR or TAR?Sometimes paranoia is just having all the facts.

Hey,
I do not have his service records, i know he was in India in the war but only because i remember him telling me. I cannot find anything about his war days, tho i have any info you need on him.
It is not TBR as i zoomed in and the letter doesn't connect at the bottom, looks like TAR? xx

Hi
Just to confirm we are talking WW11!? going by the date.
WW11 records are only available from the MOD and not online. The amount of information provided to anyone other than the next of kin is limited for 25 years after the death, after that, anyone can apply. However it is a little more difficult in your case as you have a number and name but if you are not sure he is your man then you can't supply a death certificate which I understand is needed.
Take a look at this 'sticky' and follow the links which may give you some help.
I will see if I can find anything else on the acronyms.

Hi
So was this paper you have amongst his belongings because I was wondering how you came to have a record from WW11 in your possession if it didn't belong to a family member. If in your Grandad's possession then I think it would be fair to say it is part of his service record.
If your Grandad isn't capable of writing his signature then it may be best to give the Ministry of Defence a phone call, explain the situation to them and ask how you overcome this to get his records.

Hi
see my addition to my previous post.
Do let us know how you get on with the MOD as it may help us to help others
Good luck with the phone call - you will need plenty of patience

I appreciate that this is an old thread but for the sake of completion and accuracy Dis Para 204/6a TAR 23.5.1942 means he was discharged on that date according to clause 6a of Paragraph 204 Territorial Army Regulations (Service being no longer required on re-enlistment into the Supplementary Reserve).
