    Default The Village Blacksmith

An interesting little book by Ronald Webber for those who have blacksmith ancestors. Written in 1971, it has the history of blacksmithing and explains how they work.

There are copies available online at reasonable prices.

    Thanks for that information, Davran.

I've yet to find any blacksmiths in my lot. My (distance) connections seem to be tin and/or whitesmiths.

My blacksmiths were SANDS from Norfolk, who moved north to Sunderland mid 19th century.
