Hi
I am looking for the 1841 census for James Bleasby. I believe he was born about 1838 Hunslet ... mother Martha. Possibly they lived with Martha's father William who I believe was a blacksmith.
Hope someone can help
Cheers
Fiona

Have you actually consulted the 1841 census or an index such as Freecen? Have you looked for James' birth certificate, as this would give you place of birth and help identify him in the census.
edited to add, you mention Hunslet as place of birth...is this all the information you have from James' birth certificate?

This looks like James in the 1841 census of Hunslet (HO107/1345/7, folio 30, page 11):
Near Waterlooroad
William BLEASBY 55 Smith
Ann do 50
Martha do 25
Ann do 20
Grace do 15
James do 3
All born in the county.
