    There are these births (dates taken from baptism records) They could be siblings of John. A variety of unusual middle names

    Mary Ann Pickering nee Hodges , first wife of W.B died in England 8 February 1877. Buried in Nunhead Cemetery, S.E.
    Eldest daughter Lilian, born in England 9 March 1874, died in Standerton Transvaal, 10 November 1893 and buried in Standerton Cemetery suspected fever.
    Second daughter, Amy Louisa, born England 28 July 1876, died 9 December 1887 and buried in Nunhead Cemetery

    Emma Beatrice nee Curson, second wife, born England 16 April 1860, married in England 21 February 1882
    Died in Johannesburg,Transvaal 12 October 1906. buried in Standerton Cemetery, died of cancer.

    William Alexander (eldest child) born England 16 January 1883, died 10 September 1955, died at Benoni.
    Henry Curson (second child) , born in England 15 January 1885. Died 17 February 1890 in Standerton of fever.
    Beatrice Mary Ann(third child) born England 1886 died in Standerton Charles (4th child) born England 29 May 1888. Died 5 November 1917, Johannesburg. Buried Brixton cemetery.

    My grandfather was William Alexander, who married Margaret Stewart Duncan from Glasgow here in South Africa.
    I do not know how John Diver came into the picture( W B 's grandfather), also where the name Baugh came from. I note that William's father's ??uncles had the names Berry, Collins and Daykin.

    Thank you for your reply, any descendents of your family will be from the siblings of William & Emma B quite a few for William,

    I know Emma B had a brother Henry C b 1859 Greenwich. Parents were Henry CURSON b 1819 Deptford Kent mother Emma WARNES b 1839 ( Just cannot see a WARNES birth) Forgot to make a note of date of marriage but it is on freebmd.....1855/1857


    I have been looking at the DIVERS 'link', but other things got in the way!!!

    John (father of William) died 1 December 1852 at 1 Victoria Cottages, New Cross S.E.
    I see perhaps where the name Charles Collins came from.( friend the bankers clerk George Collins)
    thank you, it very exciting as pieces , fall into place, I have been trying to find info since 2010. Never heard the name Alexander Schu"ssler. The plot thickens.
