    Whilst looking for something else, I found this information on The National Archives site.

    The way I read it, is that if someone served in the RFC/RAF prior to 1939 then their record should be available on Findmypast. See also the FMP blog link in the previous post.

    The record set you need is British Royal Air Force, Airmen's Service Records 1912-1939.
