Default Gonoude - Tullamore Kings - Barrack Street

Hi , im trying to find relations of "Mary Ann Gonoude" Birth abt 1877 and her father "Peter Gonoude" Birth abt 1831 both at Barrack Street Lower, Tullamore Urban, King's Co., Ireland in the 1901 census , but thats where it ends with the lack of the irish census's being the main hindrance , there are quite a few "Gonoudes" there in Tullamore , but proving a link seems near impossible !

    Thanks

Peter appears to have died in Tullamore district, Oct - Dec 1901 Vol 3, Page 423.
There were also two marriages in 1899 for Mary GONOUDE, could one of them be yours?

This is your family in 1901?

Peter Greene 25 general labourer can read and write and Born America
Mary Ann Greene 24 can read
    Mary Greene 4
    Eliza Greene 2
Peter Gonoude 70 father in law
    All others born Tullamore.

So if this your Mary then the two marriages in 1899 are not her as none of the grooms have the name Greene although there is a Peter but last name Malone

familysearch.org has this marriage but only the groom named!

    Peter Gunoude
    Marriage 1874
    Tullamore, Ireland
    Vol 18 page 522

I can find a few children born to a Peter but various mother's names.

Hi , thanks for the reply , yes Peter died then , as to the marriage of Mary , going by the census data it was about 1897 , so most probably not one of those 2 , im yet to establish a concrete marriage date !

    Thanks

Many thanks to everyone for there replys

I would like to add , that Peter gonoude and Mary , were my Great great granfather & Great grandmother and obvioulsy her husband Peter greene my Great grandfather , by the time of the next census they were living in Cornwall and had dropped the "E" from there name , so im really trying to connect there family from before the 1901 census , i think im correct in remembering reading that the irish census's uptil then were all destroyed in a fire in 1922 ? , so its been virtually impossible to tie a family together .

Also "Peter Greene" having been born in NY USA , is also proving a problem , i believe his family orinated from ireland , i do have a guess of a father and mother and siblings from the USA census , but only a tenious link.

    Thanks again.
