Greetings from a sweltering South Africa,
I would greatly appreciate any help in locating info regarding the parents of George Bosher (1829-1896) from Wokingham he married Rebecca Hawkins (1830-1911) in 1852. I have them as James and Jane but not really sure and if so have little info on them.
any help would be greatly appreciated
much regards
Luke

The easiest and best way to confirm who George's father was (assuming he told the truth) would be to buy the marriage certificate from the Here
using the references from FreeBMD being sure to use the spelling of the surname as it is on the site
On same page
Marriages Mar 1/4 1852
George Bosier
Rebecca Hawkins
Registration district Wokingham
vol 2c page 471
However I will take a look around to see if there is any other information available.

Thanks Christina
The difficulty for me, and you are going to find this very odd is that i don't have a credit card. I live a very self sustaining life style and have my own water, food and energy. I only use cash to buy things like internet time that i make from excess produce- so while this limits me on some things it is very liberating on most.
I was hoping that i would find fellow searchers that might have established family trees that include this lineage- a long shot but then we are more connected then we think!
much regards luke

Thank you very much Almach,
The nice info you have given is the name Baskham i was unaware of that. This is definitely the right family. The 1841 census had James in it so he must have died before 1851.

Thanks again,
Think we can safely say that James and Jane are confirmed.
I would imagine my next step would be to find the Parish records for Berkshire (most likely All Saints in Wokingham, his son George was buried there) to find some kind of birth record for James Bosher in roughly 1806 give or take 5 years i imagine.

Just realized Jane was probably born in Barkham, very close to Wokingham so still do not know her birth name.

We need James and Jane's marriage. Do you have the children's marriages?
