I'd like to check a 1940s address of Railway Cottages, Tring. The person that lived there was a railway worker. There is a row of terraced cottages on Station Road next to Tring station and I wonder if this could be the same? If anyone has local knowledge or can check on an old map, I'd be grateful!
That road leads up to Aldbury Church which is where this relative is buried so it would make sense.
I'm hoping to visit in 2014!

Thanks - yes these links seem to confirm it pretty much. The Gerald massey site is great - I've learnt lots about the railway in general from it. Thank you!

From the postcode checker - Railway Cottages, Tring is at HP23 5QT. You can feed that postcode into Google maps and use streetview.

I hadn't thought of using the postcode finder although I use streetview all the time. Thanks - that seems to confirm it!
