Hi my name is Michael from Australia.I've recently received my grandfathers medals from my mum.he served at gallipoli and then the western front. Then it becomes interesting, along with the medals from grandad was a service medal from ww1.
The medal has the orange central stripe with the white black and blue.a part of the pip squeek and Wilfred set
along the edge (where the recipients name is located), is the following:
2146. Dvr. W MCleod r.a.
the 2146 would be a service number
The dvr. Is driver (?)

I don't know the first name (w) but we have McLeod

The r.a. would be royal artillery?
I would simply love to return this medal to its original owners family.
Hope to hear from you soon
regards Michael from australia
