    Default Supervisor Metropolitan Police?

    Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew what a "Supervisor Metropolitan Police" was/is?

I've just received information back from the 1939 National Identity Card database and (unbeknown to both myself and my Dad!), my Grandfather's occupation was listed as "Supervisor Metropolitan Police" in 1939!

Would the Met Police have records on this, or are they only likely to have records relating to Constables/Officers/etc (i.e. actual Policemen/women)?

    Cheers,

    Nick
