Hi, I am descended from Woodfine Smith through his son Zachariah who married an Ann Davis.
According to Josephine Tombs book on Smith family history p6-7 they had 9 children.
My Great grandfather was Joseph b. circa 1833-43 (married Coralina/Catherine Holland).
My grandfather was their son Matthew. I have not been able to trace any birth or marriage details for Joseph or Coralina/Catherine. She is named as Catherine on Matthew's birth cert.
Joseph and Catherine produced: Lydia/Myra/Woodfine/Matthew and Stephen.
Can anyone shed any light on Joseph and Catherine???

Hello Tynedale and welcome to Brit-Gen
NZ is my favourite place to live.
As Wendy has already said this is the forum for introducing yourself so any queries could miss out on being viewed by our eager to help members.
You can choose one of Wendy's suggestions as being the best place to post or get really independent and choose another forum.
I look forward to reading your posts.

Before I read christanel's reply I had copied your first post to the NZ forum, to save you re-typing it, and given it a more meaningful title.

Then I realised when I read it that it doesn't actually say the family came from NZ . I can easily move it if need be.
PS. I should also have said, welcome to BG!Sue Mackay
