    Hi I have joined this site because I have seen your post from 2014 a really hope you are stilll able to see this! I am sure that Pehr Leverenrz is my great great grandfather as I have just started researching my family tree. His eldest daughter Caiesa is my great grandmother. I want to know why Pehr came to England and why did he not keep his surname. Please could you share your information with me? Best wishes

    Not sure if my reply goes to all on this thread or just the last person who posted... but, here in the states the story I've heard of where "Leverentz" came from is that it was an earned last name. (I'm also of Swedish/ Norwegian origins.)
    I've been told the original last name was Ifferson. However, I'm not certain of the first name belonging to my ancestor who came to the states & if that's a relation to the Pehr Leverentz of which you speak.
