    Default cordwainers, shoemakers

would anyone know if there was a GUILD for cordwainers/shoemakers etc ,where there would be a listing of the tradesmen? Especially in the 1700's? Seeing the trade unions were starting if would be a nice shortcut.

This looks to be an interesting site. Just put it in to a search engine. It doesn't say where or whether records are kept.

Putting just the word 'guilds' in the search box on The National Archives brings up a few pages of info.
