Default George Howarth Haydock - date of death?

Does anyone know where and when George Howarth Haydock died?

He was born in 1888. He attended Glasgow University, graduating there in 1912. He then studied at Mansfield College, Oxford from 1912 to 1915. After Mansfield, in 1915, he joined the Highland Light Infantry and later the Royal Flying Corps from which he was invalided following a serious flying accident. He taught Logic at Glasgow University post-war and took his PhD there in 1946. During the Second World War he served as a Royal Air Force representative on the University Joint Recruiting Boards with the honorary rank of Wing Commander, which rank he relinquished in June 1948

Many thanks for any help you can give.

The most obvious would seem to be Q4 1961, Sheffield, 2D, 51. Born abt 1891.

However, with such a 'pedigree' I would have expected an Obit in one of the newspapers. Perhaps someone with access to 20th Century newsprint could check.

Sorry about that and thanks gasser for sorting it.

What I did notice when searching is that there was another Dr Haydock, an American I think, but a medical Dr. Just something to watch out for when searching maybe.

Hi David, It has been a long time since you asked this question. I found this thread when randomly searching the internet to see whether my grandfather, George Haydock might appear. I'm intrigued as to why you wanted to know and whether you found all the information you wanted?
