And the winner is, drum roll please, wideeyedowl!
I specifically liked the idea of having other posts already written visible as a member posts something new, in case their question has already been answered.
Now, whether it's technically possible, I'll discuss with my techies next week!
Well done wideeyedowl, you win a years membership to FWR and a package with our researcher to research one name at TNA, both items are worth over £200!
Time for the next comp!
The next comp will be judged by the members by poll btw!

Congratulations Wideeyedowl! please send a PM to Dominic who will give you details of how to claim your prize.
Sadly, our dear friend Ann (alias Ladkyis) passed away on Thursday, 26th. December, 2019.

Thank you - this is just so wonderful. Many many thanks. I will be asking for help with finding my elusive grandfather (who was the subject of my very first post in January); and then there are certainly some soldiers lurking there in the background, so here's hoping that they will show up on FWR.
Busy now, I'm afraid, so have to fly off again.
From a very happy:

Like the UK County map idea, then when selecting and going to the relevant County thread maybe a closed thread at the start with a list of online maps for that particular county. eg https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/environment/oldmap/
