Certainly is Christanel, I thought that of the handloom weaver after posting the image, first off thought the 'A' to be just some marks. good spotting.

@ Waitabit,
I appreciate it! I received them. It is such an inconveineiance that I am not allowed to use SP at this time. If a woman had a man's last name such as christina gall Formerly Davidson, does that mean there was a marriage that did take place sometime?

Quite likely unless they fibbed to the clergy at her dtr Christina's wedding.
Are you wondering about Christina Rennie's Parents? Without logging on, I see there are 3 for a Christina Davidson & 1 for Thomas Gall.

I guess some-one who merely changed their surname called be known as 'formerly' some-one else. As in adoption by step-parent.
p.s. That
Thomas Gall didn't marry your Christina.
1828-1840, 5 Christina Davidsons didn't marry Thomas Gall.Last edited by Waitabit; 03-05-2013 at 9:06 PM. Reason: addabit
