Colin...try this....
At the top go to Forum Actions
then go to General settings.
Then. Default Thread Subscription Mode:
I clicked on the first choice.
I will see if it sends an email now. ( when you or someone else posts a reply reply)

That works! So you can set your settings as to whether or not you want the email message!

Thanks. It was on Instant but changed to daily to see if that makes a difference. I'm really not concerned one way or tuther. It's a principle thing...

I had to go back and reset my Default mode to not at all as I have received 2 emails about today' s posts. They must still be working on the glitches. I put it on "Do not subscribe" and it went back to "Instantly, through email" at some point today. Now I have it set on "do not subscribe" , again.

Just thought I'd mention that I don't seem to be getting emails for my Forum subscriptions. I'm not too sure about individual threads, as the ones I'm subscribed to haven't been very active recently (though I have checked my settings as described above). What I do know I'm missing are the emails that used to come out in the middle of the night (UK time) telling me that XXX Forum had had (say) 2 new threads and 3 updated ones.
