Default Margaret Agnes Campbell b. c1831 Cumberland

    Please help!!

I am trying to find out any information on Margaret Agnes Campbell - but so far am not having much luck.

She was born in Cumberland in c1831 and later married William Henry Rowe, a bookseller who lived in St Helier in Jersey in c1860. William is listed on the 1861 Census as being married but margaret was not living with him at this time.

After the death of her husband in 1886 she moved to live with her daughter Florence and her husband Jesse Boot in Nottingham and it was here she died aged 100 in c1931.

Any information however small would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Maggie ROWE, Lodging House Keeper, born 1830 in England at RG9/4382/59/19 - St. Peter Port, Guernsey. A married lady but no husband around - wonder if that is her as William is with his mother?

I see from the DNB entry for Jesse Boot that the Société Jersiaise Library has the Boot family manuscripts and possibly other material relating to the family. It may be worth contacting them>

It might also be worth asking at the Local Studies Library at Nottingham Central Library as they have good collections of materials about local families much of which will not have been collected elsewhere.
