    It's pretty rare to find an occupation shown for any woman on a marriage certificate of that era.

    I thought I'd just check Barbara Dixon's site and she confirms " In the last century most women did not have an occupation shown on a marriage certificate even when most women worked"

    I had have occupations for some, but as we was going in to the early 1900s would have thought they do it especially as her husband to be was a police constable

    There are plenty of examples online. Have a look through the marriage register for that year for that church (1905, St Mary Paddington). I think you'll find that I'm right.
