Hi Waitabit: I don't know what dates you are referring to, as far as I know Andrew Powers was born in Wexford County Ireland in 1782 and died in Darlington, Ontario County, Canada circa 1867. He was married to a ???? Bradshaw, who was I believe an Anglican and Andrew was a Roman Catholic. This is possibly why the left Ireland, as religious strife was quite a thing in Ireland and still is, if one believes what one hears on the news. Olga Lewis

Hi Eric
sorry about the wrong date should have read circa 1790 for birth, his daughter Frances Bradshaw Powers my great grandmother was born in Ontario Canada in 1830. no mention of her mother so assumed she died in childbirth. Possible that he came to Canada in early 1800's with other emigrants.
