The Lady's name: Louisa. She's 16 years of age.
In 1871, that is - upon the Census page.
Her Surname: indecipherable. I've tried to make a guess,
By searching 1881, (CDs by LDS.)
Her place of birth: a Mystery, a part of ancient history.
It does not seem to be upon the map.
Not in a List, am I off-piste?
I'm not a happy chap.
Without a Name she'll get no fame, upon Cendexes site.
She will become "(illegible)", thats all that I can write.

Liked the ditty!
I think it says she is Louisa Wyman, 16, Arnold, Bedfordshire. However, there is no Arnold in Beds. There is a Harrold, Beds, and in 1861 there is a Louisa Wyman, 6, living there with her family.

Wossername = Wyman
Hi Wirral.
Thanks for the response. It looks like a bulls-eye, and confirms my thoughts about the actual surname, though I had'nt checked the 1861 Census for Harrold earlier.
Took me two tries to find the entry (at RG9-987 Fol 27 P21).
The Louisa there appears to have married George Garton in 1878 in Huntingdon, and settled down with him in Ramsey by 1881. Judging by her age and that of the children it seems that he must have been a widower with an existing family.
Thanks again.

I'm looking for Wymans (my birth Fathers surname) but I don't think Louisa is one of mine. The area has no associations and none of the family have mentioned a relly called Louisa. But I'll bare it in mind in case there is a connection. Thank you.
