Could someone help me find the parents of Thomas Lidbetter born 1748 in Bramber Sussex who married Susanna Scutt in 1776 at Sompting, Sussex,

There is a christening for a Thomas LIDBETER on the Family Search website that shows the following:
29th June 1748, Bramber, Sussex to Thomas LIDBETER and Mrs Janet (or Jane) INGRAM.

Now, this is a submitted entry, rather than taken directly from the Parish Records. Therefore, it should be treated with caution. What is your source for your Thomas being born in Bramber?

However, St Nicholas is the Parish Church and a CD of the Bramber Parish Registers is available that covers the year that you mention.
