I am looking for info on Louis/ludwig Spindler who was the Band Master of the King's German Band. In 1819 he left Sandhurst at his own request to became the master of the Band in the 33 Reg. but he must have left the army by 1821 as by then he was in Edinburgh and became a music teacher. I know a lot about him as there is a large post on the Spindler Family on the Kent forum started by me. It was suggested that I put a post on a Military forum, I am looking for his place of birth and his marriage to Hannah Gjertzon/Gjertson who was born Sweden.

Hi Hist0ry31,
I notice you are also researching the Brown surname. I am a descendant of James Hugh Brown and Sophia Spindler, Chiltern, Victoria. Let me know if we are on the same path.
