    Default DACK Emma Elizabeth 1861

    Hello,
Emma Eliza DACK was born in Norwich in 1861. Some time in 1865 her parents travelled to Newcastle where they lived for the next few years in Blandford Street until moving to Deptford, London about 1880.
I have managed to trace all the 8 children of Robert Dack and Emma except Emma Elizabeth 1861. She does not seem to have moved with the family to London although all her living siblings did.
She may have died between 1871 and 1881 but I cannot find a death. Neither have I found a marriage in either Newcastle or Deptford. Any help in finding what happened to her gratefully received.
She is not the Emma Eliza Dack who married Albert Elsdon. That was her cousin.
    Regards
    Victoria

Meanwhile I have a hunch that this is Emma in 1881.
RG11/296 folio 45 page 52 living in the civil parish of St John Hackney
Transcribed as Emma E Lacke on both Ancestry and FMP (because they both use the same index). Her age (20) and birthplace (Norwich) both fit, plus look at the way the surname is written on the image. Too much like Dack, methinks.

Fiona's find confirmed that it's the correct Emma because the next entry in the PR is for sister Sarah who in the 1871 census is said to have been born in Brandiston (sic).
