    Default Goulding! Kildare County.

I have for some time searched for relatives who may live in Kildare County, my great-great-grandfather Michael Goulding was born in Kildare County in 1865 and later moved to Bristol, England.
My great-grandmother Catherine Goulding (Michael's daughter) was born in Bristol, England in 1907 and later moved to Sweden.
So is there anyone here who knows the surname Goulding and know there are people somewhere in Kildare County that still has this name, please let me know.

Catherine was born in Bristol, England, (May 1, 1907).
Her father Michael Goulding worked in the boat harbor (in Bristol). Became widowed quite early. Do not know when Michael and his wife got married.
Have not found Cathrine mother's name, but I know she came from Wales.
Catherine had four siblings, John (died in the war), Mary, Jerry and Alice.

If you have a sub to Findmypast, or purchase some pay per view credits, I think you will find them on the 1911 census living in Bristol, Gloucestershire. Catherine is on the census form as Kathleen.

FreeBMD has a Michael Goulding and a Mary Davies indexed on the same page. June 1900, Bristol, Vol 6a, page 91, which I would think is them.

    Linda,

This looks like Michael’s possible family in the 1901 & 1911 Irish censuses. Sister Mary Jane has clearly left home but the other 2 siblings have not married.
