I can't find a death either checking freebmd however there is a family tree on Anc that notes his death in Wolverhampton in 1889, maybe a contact with the tree owner may help? Or is this your tree? It does not have a source for the death info noted

This looks like him and his family in 1881

James CASEY, Head, Single, 22, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Iron Worker
William NALLY, Step Brother,Single, 26, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Iron Pudler
Patrick CASEY, Brother, Single, 18, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Iron Brazier
Mary CASEY, Mother, Married, 50, Mayo, Ireland
Mary CASEY, Sister, Single, 16 ,Wolverhampton, Stafford
William CASEY, Father, Married, 60, Mayo, Ireland, Laborer In Iron Wks

    8 Cross St, Wolverhampton, Stafford
    RG11 2804 / 102 / 15

I have to say it seems a bit strange with the Son as head of the household, and how does the Step Brother fit in.

It could be that William and Mary parted company and she claimed to be a widow. He could have returned to Ireland.
