I am researching the clock from the Scotch Church Woolwich, the movement was made by James Murray one of the foremost clock makers of the 1800's this movement is dated and inscribed by James Murray in 1842 and is solid mahogany with a scrolled front board with an 18'' face the name on the face is Mc Intosh, I believe this might be James Mc Intosh of the raincoat fame who had a factory in Manchester and I believe one of his daughters was Chrisened at the church, Murray with Strachen made three Cronometers that Weddell took to the South Pole in early 1800. As a result of their accuracy the admirilty awarded contracts to Murray ans Strachen.

If you can add any information as to Mc Intosh and his connection to the Scotch Church I would be very gratefull.

Thank you BJ
