It's the only matching record for the time frame. Where did you get his parents' names from?

William Samuel HARRIS and his wife Gertrude Florence appear on the 1911 census living at Franchise Street. Looking at this entry (available pay to view on Find my Past) will give you valuable information as mother in law is living with him (and her name is not HARRIS!).

    Default William Samuel HARRIS

Further to the above there is a marriage registration in the September qtr 1909 at Wolverhampton reg district, vol 6b, page 938 of a William Samuel HARRIS. Only 1 brides' name appears and it is not a Gertrude Florence. However, doing a search on just Gertrude Florence and the appropriate other details, brings up a Gertrude Florence HARRIS in the September qtr 1909, Wolverhampton, vol 6b, page 938 (the 938 has not been transcribed properly on Ancestry). This all fits in beautifully, but it looks as if Gertrude's mother must have remarried (or married after Gertrude's birth) prior to the 1911 census.

    Hi Kev,

Harriet (Amelia) HARRIS (Gertrude's mother) married George Daniel WATKINS in the December qtr 1902 at Wolverhampton reg district, vol 6b, page 973. Her second name Amelia does not appear on the marriage registration.

In the 1891 census of Wolverhampton (RG12/2236, folio 14, page 28), Gertrude is living at 89 Gordon Street, Wolverhampton:

George HARRIS Head Mar 47 Bellows Pipe Polisher Staffordshire Wolverhampton
Harriet do Wife Mar 48 do do
George do Son S 21 do do Imbecile
Josiah do Son S 19 Holloware Traveller? do do
William do Son S 17 Bicycle Polisher do do
Frederick do Son 13 Scholar do do
Ann do Daur 11 do do do
Elizabeth do Daur 8 do do do
Gertrude do Daur 3 do do
    + 2 Lodgers

In the 1901 census of Wolverhampton (RG13/2681, folio 50, page 17), Gertrude is boarding at 39 Coventry Street with widowed mother Harriet in the household of a Daniel JOHNSON. There is a death registration for a George HARRIS in the June qtr 1894 at Wolverhampton reg district, aged 47 which could be relevant to you.

William Samuel, Gertrude Florence and their 2 children plus Harriet Amelia are living at Ct 1, 2 Franchise Street, Wolverhampton.
