As this is fairly recent and the people from Manor Farm may still be living, would anyone who may be able to help with information about those who may be alive please contact Isambard direct, either by private message or e-mail.
Thanks

There were a few Manor Farms around Bath and even quite far out the place may still have been refered to as 'Bath', just to assist in centralising it. but to the North East it could possibly be Manor Farm, Innox Lane. Upper Swainswick.

I've since located Manor Farm in Upper Swainswick. The 1901 Census site allows one to search by place, permitting one to walk in the footsteps of the census taker to find persons, as I've used successfully in the past (for a fee of course). However I've not been able to locate Upper Swainswick (or just Swainswick) on the site and assume it's included in a larger district, but which one?

Look on GenUKI, Somerset, Towns & Parishes, and then Swainswick.
There is a map of the village - it might help!
Upper Swainswick is top right, and Manor Farm is clearly marked.
BUT there is also a Manor Fram at Woolley, just a mile or so away!Last edited by Kevin Garrad; 26-10-2010 at 6:57 AM. Reason: Location added

Swainswick should be the civil parish name.

I did an address search in FMP's 1901 census.
Left the street blank, and entered Swainswick and county Somerset.
Brings up a nice short list - but no Newton's or Manor Farm in the Upper Swainswick section.
Ah well!
But you'll find Manor Farm under Swainswick in the Swainswick list.
(You'll see what I mean if you have a look!)
