The enumerator's description page for 1871 reads (in part) ...

... Usk Street, Everton View, Everton Place, Sandy Lane, Canal View, Pleasant Street, Pleasant Place, Pleasant Grove, Pleasant View, Henry Street, Chapel Terrace, east side of Derby Road ...

If you enter "Pleasant View Bootle" into Google maps it will take you to the right area, on the east side of Derby Road.

Pleasant View is still there, but perhaps not Pleasant Grove, though they appear to have been adjacent in 1871.

The road called Pleasant View is still there, but the old houses are all gone. The area was heavily bombed in WWII, because it is so near to the docks.

Clink on link - Pleasant View (PV) and Pleasant Street (PS) identified on current view but not on old map. Position cursor over either to identify location on old map - nothing's changed. Compare with previous map I posted.
Pleasant Terrace used to run north/south from PV to PS and Pleasant Grove (PG) ran west/east off PT. If you position cursor on the bottom road running east/west of PT - that's PG, and you can see its exact location on current view.

    Good luck.
