Can anyone help please?.
Looking for details on James Hoggard, his wife Harriet (nee Beanland) and one /poss 2 sons . Definate son John Hoggard b 1839/1840 possible son Joseph Hoggard b C 1836.

May be located Wardleworth (John born @ Wardleworth).
James and Harriet are dead by 1861

ALSO earlier data on Edmund Lord Stott b 1812 his wife Mary b 1809 and family living 37 Manchester Road, Castleton Rochdale in 1861

Thanks very much for this. I have got a little further back with the Hoggards but only to the beginning of 1800's when James Hoggarth (name mutates) was born around 1804 or 1805 but don't know where (1841 says not in Lancashire). Family aural history says they came from ""John Peel country" and James was a saddler so would be interested to hear more from anyone who might have him. He marries a Harriet Beanland and has James 1836/7 and John 1840

Just a note to say that I now know that James was b Asby Westmorland 1804 son of Richard and Mary Hoggart of Gaythorn Hall and that Richard's father George was b at Silverdale in the parish of Wharton in 1718. So things are moving at long last. These Stotts are an inportant part of our Rochdale history so thank you again for the info which is very gratefully received.
