    Default William ( Maxwell) Dixon b.1822 Newcastle

    He was married to Mary Ann Johnson in Earsdon on November 13, 1847 but the marriage cert. states widower .I would like to find his previous wife. I believe he was on the 1841 census with this previous wife. Appreciate any help with this. Couldn't find a previous marriage on Ancestry or Free BDM.

    I checked the IGI for possible marriages but none were the correct father who was James Dixon a baker b. Newxastle. Someone once suggested a census showing a William Maxwell Dixon married to a Marjorie with a young child. As I knew about his marriage to Mary Ann and their children and follow up from census sightings I discounted it but when I obtained the marriage cert. and saw widower I wished that I had kept the information!
