I am after info on my 2G GM Ann GWYNNE(nee Montgomery). She & her husband Robert GWYNNE had 4 children (known). John (b.?), Robert (b.?), Ann (b1837, Clinty, Cavan),William (b.1839, Clinty, Cavan).
Sometime between 1839 - 1875, Ann & her children William & Ann came to Australia. They settled on the darling downs.
I would like any info prior to their departure from Ireland including what became of the family that remained.
I would also really like to track the ship the arrived on. It has eluded me so far, and the Qld Govt shipping records seem to disappear on a regular basis.
Best wishes, Fiona.

Just an update, it appears they emigrated in approximately 1865.

Gwynne connections
I too have Gwynnes from County Cavan who came to the Darling Downs. James with his English wife Agnes. They settled in Allora after living in Sydney for a few years. I think they came to Qld about 1860 after arriving NSW 1857. His birth place is shown as Dring or Kildallan on various sources. It seems too close to yours for there not to be some connection.
