    Default Verdun Mutler 1918

    Im looking for information on
VERDUN MUTLER born London 1918- 1997
    I know he married
CHARLOTTE COLTON and had 3 children with her from 1940 to 1943.
    He went on to marry
IVY BAXTER in 1943 and had a child with her in 1943.
    He then married
    MIRIAM ABRAMS in 1949.
I can find no record of any children with this lady.
He was then with a lady called BETTY WINBOURNE and had 5 children with her.
He then married MAUREEN WILLIAMSON who is my husbands mother and they went on to have children between 1970 and 1982.

What we woudl like to know is of any other children or wives. If he was in the forces as a hand full of medals have turned up.

Needless to say he was a very very dark horse lol
    any help would be great
    thanx

Anyone with information concerning living people, should of course contact r1yarno by private message or e-mail please - as per the forum rules.

To r1yarno - you might try looking for wills of both the chap and his wives, to see if any mention is made of other children. Also, try looking for wills of parents of Verdun Mutler and his wives - as they may mention grandchildren.

    the medals r all ww2.
    1939-1945 star
    Africa star
    France and Germany star
    The Defence Medal
    The War Medal
and one i cant find the name of.
I only have photo's of them as my sister in law has them and lives away. I know his father and uncles were in WW1 and his uncles died. His father married again and had more children but there is no 'here say' that he was ever in the forces.

He was also known as Vic Marshall, he married my mother when I was young.they met in Peterborough. He was still living with Maureen (Rene) & there children. We lived with him for 9 years.
I'm happy to talk & share information.

I think he was also known as Vic Mutler and was very active in Gladca - the Gladstone Street area community association. He used to dress up as a clown. Same person? I was born and brought up in Peterborough. I can't really help you with any extra children but he does seem to have been busy!
    Kind regards
    Kim
