Could anyone give a brief outline of Gordons and the Highland Regiment during WW1?
I have a few details of an Uncle who served with those Regiments. He joined the Gordons and then transferred. How could I find out more?
Cert No: 278966 - Maciver John
Enlisted - 6 - 6 - 1916
Called Up - 10-6-1916
Discharged - 29 - 4 - 1920 at Woolwich Drydock.
Very much obliged for any help given,
Regards,
Crofter.

The Royal Highland Regiment is probably better known as the Black Watch, and you will find much about them, too, via Google.
